Much of the History has been handed down by word of mouth. Some gleaned from family Bibles, County Records, Cemetery Records.
I am grateful to C. W. Barnum for information on the family of John Wilson Franklin Thompson and the New Mexico connection.
Tina Marie Thompson gave me most of the history on the family of Haywood "Woody" Thompson.
John Bush has been very helpful with the Thompson/Richardson connection and I appreciate his insight and assistance.
My Grandfather, Whitney Franklin or "Whit" Thompson was the son of John Wilson Franklin Thompson.
I also came across an article in a copy of "A History of Lampasas County Texas,l Its History and Its People". Compiled by the Lampasas History Book Committee of the Lampasas Historical Commission, Lampasas, Texas, U.S.A. The article entitled Pleasant G. Thompson was submitted by Eva Bilton Thornal and Pat Hodge Thornal. It added information I had not found in my research.
** Some of the Cemeteries that I researched and found very helpful were: The Straley Cemetery, Adamsville, Texas.

IOOF Cemetery, Lometa, Texas
Senterfitt Cemetery, Lometa, Texas.
***A useful site for me was "Cemeteries of Lampasas County Texas" by Gloria Mayfield.
